China's most important market luxury German cars
Auto industry experts said that China made to become the most important market for luxury car industry in Germany.
The total sales for the companies BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz and Porsche about 959 thousand cars in China alone in the last year, which is greater than any other car market around the world, even larger than Germany itself and the United States as well.
These figures came in a report prepared by Ferdinand Dodnhofer auto industry expert at the University of Duisburg in Essen.
The four companies sold a luxury car manufacturer 882 thousand cars in the German market in 2012, down slightly from the previous year. In the United States, sales volume has reached 837 thousand cars.
Sales of cars in China last year by 26% compared to an increase of 15% in the United States, while severe recession on sales in Germany.
Car experts predict that China is becoming increasingly important in this sector over the next few years.
Noteworthy that luxury car makers sold 104 thousand vehicles only in China in 2005, but since that date car sales there jumped by 37% annually.
